Welcome to the education website of Chocolate Chip Photography Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing and using our website, purchasing our online photography courses, or booking tickets to our in-person workshops, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Please read these Terms carefully.

     

      1. Definitions

        Website: Refers to the website operated by Chocolate Chip Photography Limited where online courses and workshop tickets are sold.

        Courses: Refers to the photography courses available for purchase and accessed online.
        Workshops: Refers to in-person photography workshops provided by Chocolate Chip Photography Limited.

        You/Customer/User: Refers to the individual purchasing or using our products and services.

      1. General Information

        Chocolate Chip Photography Limited is a company registered in United Kingdon under company number 08636630. Our registered office address is Hoults Yard, Walker Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE6 2HL, United Kingdom.

      1. Eligibility

        You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase any of our online courses or book tickets for our in-person workshops.

        By purchasing any of our products or services, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

        In-person workshops may be attended by a person aged under 18 years of age however they must be accompanied at all times by a guardian or chaperone who is at least 18 years of age. We may ask for ID as proof of age.

      1. Product Description

        Online Courses: We provide pre-recorded photography courses and learning materials available through our website. These may include video tutorials, PDF guides, and other educational content.

        Workshops: We organise in-person photography workshops at specified locations and dates. Workshops are led by experienced photographers and are intended to provide hands-on learning experiences.

      1. Purchase and Payment

        Payment Methods: We accept payment via credit or debit card.

        Course Access: Upon receipt of full payment for an online course, you will be granted access to the purchased materials. Access will remain available for the duration specified in the product description.

        Workshop Tickets: Workshop tickets must be purchased in advance and will only be confirmed upon full payment. Your in-person workshop ticket includes access to your chosen online course.

      1. Pricing and Availability

        All prices listed on our website are in GBP and include any applicable taxes unless otherwise specified.

        We reserve the right to modify prices at any time. However, price changes will not affect any orders that have already been confirmed.

      1. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling

        7.1 Online Courses

        Due to the digital nature of our online courses, no refunds will be issued once access has been granted, unless the course content is found to be defective or not as described.
        We may, at our discretion, provide a replacement course or remedy the defect if reported within 14 days.

    7.2 In-Person Workshops

    If you need to cancel your workshop booking, please contact us before the scheduled workshop date.
    Event tickets include access to an online course as part of our hybrid learning model. This means, while the event tickets will hold a higher monetary value, for example, either £99 (level one) or £109 (level two), the value of your workshop ticket is £60. In the event of cancellation, only the £60 workshop ticket will be eligible for a refund. There is no cooling off period or refunds on any of the online courses. This is due to the instant access nature of the online courses. Therefore, in the event of cancellation, you will not receive a refund for the online course portion of your ticket.

    If you choose to cancel your attendance at any in-person workshop, the following amount will be retained against loss:

    * Within 7 days of the workshop date – 100% of the £60 ticket value.
    * Within 21-8 days of the workshop date – 75% of the £60 ticket value.
    * 22 days or more before the workshop date – 50% of the ticket value.

    We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, venue issues). In such cases, we will offer a full refund or alternative dates.

    Please be aware that the monetary values referenced in Section 7.2 are provided as examples based on current pricing and may be subject to change.

       

        1. Intellectual Property

          All content on our website, including but not limited to course materials, videos, text, logos, and graphics, is the property of Chocolate Chip Photography Limited unless otherwise stated. These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

          License to Use: When you purchase an online course, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

          Restrictions: You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, or publicly display any of our course materials without our express written permission.

        1. Privacy

          We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

        1. Limitation of Liability

          We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of our website, courses or workshops.

          While we strive to ensure our online courses and workshops are of the highest quality, we make no guarantees as to the outcome of your learning experience.

          Our total liability to you in connection with any purchase or use of our products and services is limited to the amount you have paid to us.

        1. Force Majeure

          Chocolate Chip Photography Limited will not be held responsible for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if such failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, or government regulations.

        1. Amendments to These Terms

          We may update or amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting. By continuing to use our services after such changes, you agree to the new Terms.

        1. Governing Law

          These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Insert Country/Region]. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
